Ministry: Russia’s budget deficit at 1.76 tln rbl in January
MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- The deficit of Russia’s federal budget amounted to 1.76 trillion rubles in January, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Monday quoting preliminary estimates.
Budget revenue fell by 35% on the year to 1.356 trillion rubles, with oil and gas revenue decreasing by 46% to 426 billion rubles mainly because of a lower price for the Urals oil blend and because of lower exports of natural gas.
Non-energy revenue decreased by 28% to 931 billion rubles in January because of lower profit and value-added taxes collection, the ministry said.
Budget spending rose by 59% on the year to 3.117 trillion rubles, the authority said.
